SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING, At the usual monthly meeting of the School Committee there were present Messrs. W. F. Maxwell (chairman), L. Pascoe, secretary, W. Eggleton, J. Scheldt, W. B. Duthie and F. Burton. Tho headmaster’s report showed that the attendance is gradually improving the roll number being now 128. The -visiting committee reported that all work instructed to be carried out had been completed so it was decided to hdld-a working bee to complete all other improvements before the end of the term. The secretary submitted the balance sheet which showed that' the sum of £2OO had been spent during the year; the committee still being able to show a credit balance on the year’s work. Being the .last meeting of the committee' before the annual householder’s meeting, complimentary reference was made to the chairman and secretary for the splendid manner in which they had worked during the'past year for the good of the ‘school. ■' Accounts amounting to £lO/15/6 were passed for payment. •' ‘ BHNATUBE RIFLE CLUB. OPENING NIGHT. ■ The Minature Rifle Club opened the season on Monday evening there being a large attendance. Some very satisfactory scores were recorded, the results being as follows: —H. Hughes, 13 s,l'Jr- Webber, T 34; E. Sigglekow, 131; C. Young, 129; J. Clevely,. 128; E. Webber, 128 s; W. Andrew, 128; A. Patterson, 127; A. Pederson, 125; W. Salmon, 124: L. Balkes, 121; J. Pakau, 108; L. Stevens, 105, A. Gee, 104; L. Burrell, 95; N. Shute 87; R. Mitchell, 93. ’ Autumn Fair. Arrangements are well forward for the Anglican Autumn Fair to be held on the 2 2nd April, and judging by the interest which, Is being taken in the various competitions, the guild should have a record Attendance. -' 1
