HOKOWHITU SCHOOL
MEETING OP COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Hokowhitu School committee was held last evening. Present Messrs W. S. Woodroofe (chairman) M. Voss, P. Robbie, A. J. Shaller, C. D. Hepburn, J. Heatley H. Whitehead and F Amos (sco rotary). The visiting committee reported that everything was in 1 order at the school. ; , Miss McDonald commenced , her duties as assistant on Monday last. A vote of thanks was passed to the ladies’ committee for their donation to tho picnic fund. The chairman announced that (he la.nnual • ■ meeting of. householders would bo held on April 21 and nominations for the committee closed on April 14. Eulogistic references were made to the services rendered by Mr Whitehead while on the committee. It was stated that he would not be.able to seek re-election owing to moving from Hokowhitu. No' headmaster's report was submitted owing to tho recent change.
