SCOPE OF WORK NOT YET DETERMINED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 19. The New Zealand Univeslty Council discussed a matter connected withj a new ofllce to b e filled by a principal Mr. T. K. Sidey explained that the; full scope and work to be done by the principal could not be determined until the office was filled and it was decided whether the principal should have administrative control over the colleges. . Auckland moved that no, reference be made to the amount of salary, which was lost. It was resolved that the salary be not less than £ISOO and that the. Minister of Education be asked to secure an amendment of the Act to enable the Council to pay not less than £ISOO. It wa s decided that the position be offered for five years.
