METHODIST CHURCH

A very large congregation assembled in the Methodist Church Pending for the monthly musical service last Sunday evening. The Rev. A. Mitchell spoke on “Heroism”. drawing illustrations from his experl' cnees a s a Padre at the front, and also from the mor e prosaic experiences of common every day life. Miss Violet Crawly, sang in a devotional voice “Beside Still Waters”, which was greatly enjoyed /by the congregation. The choir also rendered very effectively “He Watcheth over Israel”, and “In Jewry is God Known”. Mr. Mitchell Intimated that the Church Anniversary and Harvest Thanksgiving would be , held next ■ Sunday, when the services would be Of a bright and inspiring character.
