AUCKLAND NOMINATES KEV, G. BUDD. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Auckland Presbytery to-night nominated tho Rev_ G. Budd, Superintendent oC Home Missions, as Moderator of the New Zealand General Assembly. Rev. Budd has already been nominated by the 'North Auckland Presbytery. An appeal for funds for the provision of bursaries for a Theological College for students, was made by tho Rev. Dr. J. Gibb, of Wellington, and he said that there was an urgent need for ministers in tho Church. He was endeavouring to raise £IO,OOO, and £7,000 was already in sight toward the bursaries.
