NEW ZEALAND DRUG ADDICT
DEPORTED FROSI NEW SOUTH WADES. SENT TO ROTO ROA ISLAND. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Last Night. Described as the victim o£ drugs, Charles Marshall Fyfe, aged 46, who arrived from Sydney in custody today, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this afternoon, to a charge of escaping from Roto Roa Island Reformatory Institution, on February 26. Accused had been deported from New South Wales. Chief-Detective Cummings said Fyfe escaped from tho Island on February 25. He had been committed for a term of two years, and managed to get away to Sydney. He suggested that as accused’s term had not yet expired, he should be sent back to tho Island. ~ The Magistrate, Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., made an order for accused to return.
