MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES AGAINST BUS DRIVERS
VERDICT OF GUILTY RETURNED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Last Night. Two motor-bus drivers, Georgs Courtney Bacon and Harold Bruce Hill, were tried in the Supreme Court to-day, on charges of negligently driving vehicles in such manner as to cause death. Bacon, the charge against whom referred to a fatality at Avondale last July, was found guilty. Sentence was deferred. Hill, whose charge related to a collision in Manakau road, as a result of which a young cyclist received fatal injuries, was found not guilty. The jury added a rider expressing the opinion that motor buses should be provided with windscreen wipjrs.
