KREISLER’S LUCK
SHAKEN IN MOTOR SMASH. DRIVER ASKS FOR DAMAGES. LONDON, Oct. 19. A taxi in which Fritz Kreisler was speeding to the quay at Belfast to catch the Glasgow steamer, whose departure had already been delayed to enable him to conclude his concert, crashed into a motor-car at the quayside. Kreisler was dragged from the debris, badly shaken, and with his bat bristling with broken glass. The driver followed the violinist aboard the steamer, volubly demanding recompense for his damaged taxi.
