HEAVY SNOW IN CANTERBURY
SERIOUS LAMB MORTALITY FEARED, [Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Tho storm which broke in Canterbury on Sunday, has proved the most severe experienced during the Spring for many years. Snow has fallen off and on since Sunday, and to-day was lying from two to six inches deep on the high country. It is feared that the mortality amongst lambs will be heavy on tho hills, where lambing is later than on the plains. In tho city, the weather wtas fine, but bitterly cold.
