In the cricket match between the Auckland touring team and a Wellington team, the visitors won on the firs' innings. Bright batting displays were given. On the previous day, Wellington knocked up 157 and Auckland 187. In Wellington’s second venture runs came freely. The batsmen hit out and the score reached 252 before the last man was dismissed. Rollings made 95, Lamson 40, Leys 29, Massey 28 and Greig 23. Bowling for Auckland, Butler took 8 for 47, and Baaeley 2 for 25. The Auckland colts in their second attempt, gave a good batting dlsp’ay and scored 138 for tho loss of live wickets, and thus won by 30 runs on the first innings. Badeley scored 70, Montoith 30,, and Butler 20. Bowling for Wellington, Rollings took 2 for 39 and Huddleston 2 for 38.
