WHEAT CONTROL
CONFERENCE DECISIONS. [Per Press Association.] ASHBURTON. Last Night. A conference of wheat-growera millers and Government representatives, with other Intel ested parties, met to-day, there being an attendance of fifty. It was resolved to ask the Government to take control of the marketing of the 1925-26 crop at 6/5, 6/7 and 6/9 f.o.b. with appropriate increments from March 30. This confirms the agreement reached in May It was also resolved that the Government Vie asked to take control for not loss than throe years, the price to bo fixed each year by the growers, millers and Government not later than December 3. Regarding next season’s crop, 1926-27, it was resolved that the price bo 7/-, 7/2, and 7/4 f.0.b., with an increment of three farthings from May 31, fowl wheat to be sixpence less. A deputation was appointed to meet the Minister.
