TAUMARUNUI PROSECUTION'S. fPer Press Association.] TAUMARUNUI, Last Night. The Magistrate, Mr. Platts, in giving his reserved decision in a sly grog charge against Walter and Horace Coombridge, which was heard last Court day, when ho said he had never heard such a mixture of lies and liquor, resulted in the conviction of defendants and a fine of £ls, with costs. Horace Coombridge was committed to prison for 14 days for acsaulting Victor Hose. Leonard Lansdown, a railway employee, appeared on a charge of theft of a mat and tools from a motor-car. Theft of the fools was pot provedhut accused was found guilty of theft of the mat and a fine of 10/- and heavy costs imposed.
