Mr. Charles A. Morris, editor of the "New Zealand Times,” has been appointed managing director of the "Now Zealand Times” Company. There was a very pleasing function at the Palmerston North stationmaster’s office yesterday afternoon. The occasion was a farewell to Messrs J. R. Atkin and A. McKinley who have been transferred to Picton and Levin respectively. Mr J. J. O’Shea, stationmaster, expressed good fellowship and general regret at the loss of these officers who had been for some years on the Palmerston North staff. Several members of the Railway Officers Institute, also spoke,, Messrs Atkin and McKinley suitably replying.
