VITAL AND CUSTOMS RETURNS
[Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Vital statistics for November were as follow, last year's figures being given in parentheses;—Births, 212 (200); deaths, 102 (110); marriage notices, t)0 (82); marriages in office, IS (27). The figures for the eleven months are: Births, 2316 (2242); deaths, 1116 (1074); marriage notices, 360 (914); marriages in office, 195 (IS9). Customs returns for November were £112,420 5/5, compared with £82,184 10/5 for the corresponding period last year. The beer duty totalled £7,755 0/9 and £7,503 3/9 respectively. For the eleven months of the year, the Customs duties totalled £1,07 6,946 ■4/4, as against £979,806 for the same 1 period last year. Beer duty figures are £80,662 18/0 and £85,095 2/2 respectively.
