CHILDREN'S HEALTH CAMP
MINISTER OX’ EDUCATION DELIGHTED. Tho Children’s Health Camp at Turaldna was visited on Friday morning by the Hon. the Minister of Education (Sir James Parr), who expressed himself delighted with what is being done under the supervision of Dr .Elizabeth Gunn for the illnourished children. Sir James said the catnp was one of the finest things he had seen for years, and it was pleasing indeed to find the benefits being derived by the 120 children there. Ho saw eight children who had in a -week increased their weight from fibs to 81bs, while all were receiving great benefit from the open nir life, proper food, and care and attention. It was simply wonderful to see the improvement made by the children. Better work was done there than in any school, and he believed the Education Department and the Health Deportment would recognise the fact, and should assist those who were moving in the interests of the ill-nourished children.
