Mr. C. P. Skerrett Chief Justice SIR ROBERT STOUT RETIRES IN FEBRUARY [Per Press Association.] ■WELLINGTON Last Night The Chief Justice, the Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Stout, K.C.M.G., has intimated to the Government his intention to tender‘his resignation to take effect on February Ist., 1926. The Government has offered the appointment of Chief Justice to Mr C. P. Skerrett, K.C., of Wellington and has been advised of Mr Skerrett’s acceptance of the office, [The now Chief Justice, Mr Charles Perrin Skerrett, was born and educated In Wellington. He was articled to the Arm of 8011, Gully and Izai I and admitted to the bar in 1885 an ; became King’s Counsel in 1907. Til is president of the New Zealand Welfare League.]
