Show the other day. ‘■has been devoting a great deal ot attention to Investigational vroerU m the direction of endeavouring to discover methods of combating the diseases which seriously affect dairy cows particularly contagious mammilla and sterility troubles, and a considerable amount of data boa beefl collected and investigations conducted In the matter of these dlseaseo. The work has been conducted at th® Department’s Veterinary Laboratory, at Wallaceville, in conjunction with special veterinary officers In the field. The information obtained is ot considerable value, and In order that all advice possible may be disseminated, arrangements have been made for special veterinary officers to be released for lecturing and instrumental work in Taranaki and other dairying districts on the diseases of dairy cowb. ‘‘Officers of the veterinary staff o« the Live Stock Division of the Department have recently given lecture# and demonstrations in the Taranaki district, and further ones will be arranged for in the future. It Is hoped that advantage will be taken of th® efforts of the Dopartment in this dw* rectlon, and endeavour by the exchange of personal experiences to gala further enlightenment in the control of the diseases that give ao much worry to the dairy farmer.”
