ASCOT AND THE DOLE.
UNEMPLOYED FEEL THE CONTRAST. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Monday 7.5 p.m) LONDON. June 21. An unemployed demonstration in Trafalgar Square was addressed bj Labour Commoners and others. The proceedings were most orderly. The speakers compared the display of wealth at Ascot with the poverty of the unemployed. They also denounced the Government's policy regarding China. A resolution was carried calling oe the Government to establish a national employment development board. Other Labour M.’sP. spoke at demonstrations in Glasgow, Hull and elsewhere.
