The “Daily Express” Paris correspondent states that Persia is tired of a Shah who prefers to live abroad and as the priests have persuaded the Persians that a Republic is wrong, Reza Khan proposes to crown one of the young princes and appoint himself Regent. Twelve years ago, Reza was only! a commissionaire at a legation, but during the war, he became an officer and Genera! Ironside, _after the war, appointed him organiser of the rabble of the Persian Army. Consequently, Reza found himself in command of the Army, which is now forty thousand strong.
