IMPORTANT SALE

SEASIDE SECTIONS AT WAIKANAE. That seaside sections are in great request is evidenced by the keeu inquiry being- made regarding the new "Waimeha" township, which is being formed on the Waikanae beach on Mr W # H. Field's property. The sections, over one hundred in number, are situated on the banks of the Waikanae river, a never varying stream of clear water, which has its source in numer. ous springs a little to the east of the site of the township. This new seaside resort has several outstanding features which are worthy of special mention. While naturally of sandy .formation, the soil is very fertile, growing anything in the way of flowers, vegetables, or shrubs. There is a bountiful supply of pure spring water right at hand, and provision has already been made for section holders by the erection of a windmill and elevated reservoir. Pipe lines through the township aro now being laid. Besides boating and bathing, there is capital deep-sea fishing, and also rod fishing in the Waikanae river, which has a great name as a trout stream. The beach of firm, clean sand extends for about ten miles in an unbroken line, shelving gently to the sea; it is broad and nearly flat, providing a splendid track for motoring. Recent visitors have marvelled at the beautiful scenes and glimpses which take the eye at every turn. It is, in fact, a charming spot for those who indulge in either painting or photography. Then, as regards golf, it is really ideal country, and it is only necessary to read what .Mr Arthur Ham, the golf course architect, has written about it. He describes it as second to none in New Zealand. So far as climate is concerned, this is wellknown as tho most salubrious in' the Dominion, blight, sunny.«and well protected from high -winds. The .auction sale takes place the 27th Inat, at Wedkanae, and is being .conducted by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.
