HALCOMBE NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Halcombc footballers held their first euchre party and daneje last night their being a large attendance of dancers and players considering the weather. The music for dancing was played by Messrs. R. Bryant and T. Hartley. Messrs. C. Cowdiy and N. Bryant performed the duties of M.C.’s. The eucjlire prize was won by Mr. W. Hughes, and the ladies’ prize by Mrs. Colin Campbell. Booby prizes, gents, Mr. Fuller; ladies, Miss Joverbrack. Following will represent Tokorangi seniors in their game against Huntcrville, at Halcombe to-day: D. Managh, T. Paraniki, T. Kumeroa, P. Green, P. Kika, V. Paraniki, N. Bryant’, P. Law, T. Hengei, R. Anderson, W. Paraniki, R. Groube, H. Cashil. J. Anderson and W. Green. Play commences at 3 p.m. sharp. The Halcombe social dlub are holding a big evening on Tuesday, and the secretary is working hard to give everybody a .good time, so watch this column for future evenings. EVAN GE. LISTIC SE It VICE. Mr. A. F. Witty, evangelist, will speak in the Public Hall, Halcombc, to-morrow, Sunday, at 7 p.m., taking as his subject, “ Christ is coming, how, when and where.” There will he no collection and all seats arc free.
