CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night, Replying to Mr Dixon, the Hon. Mr Anderson said that legislation was in course of preparation, providing that when there were two holidays in one week it will not be required to observe the statutory weekly half-holiday. At present there was no law to do this, and this year the shopkeepers would have to observe the weekly half-holiday as well as the Christmas and New Year holidays.
