THE INFLUENZA OUTBREAK.
MAORI PATIENTS ISOLATED. A representative of the “Manawatu Times ’ ’ interviewed Dr. Findlay, of the Health Department, yesterday, in reference to the.outbreak of influenza at the Maori pa near Ohau. The reporter gathered that eleven natives are down with the complaint, and that some of them aro suffering from pneumonic influenza. The patients have been completely isolated in a largo marquee, and special nurses have been secured to attend them. Up till last night, no deaths had been reported. The locality at which the outbreak has occurred is four miles from Ohau, and there is no European population in the vicinity.
