STANDS OFF INTERNATIONALISTS. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] f Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.! (Received Wednesday, 9.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 15. Mr Samuel Gompers, in a letter to the Intcunational Federation ot Trade Unions, announcing the American Federation’s severance of relations with the International body because 01 its radicalism, points out that American workers can be benelittcd little, if at all, by labour movements in other countries. “We shall be glad of an opportunity to co-operate with the toilers of all lands, but we must decline to be part of a movement undertaking the destruction 'of the American Labour movements, or the overthrow of the United States Government. We shall join in, however, regardless of tho policies and theories for which various national movements may declare in own countries, if tho International Federation vouchsafe and guarantee autonomy and the independence of the American Federation of Labour.’’
