Navy officials explain that the drafting of plans for uniting the whole of the American fleet in the Pacific, is part Of the programme to take a complete inventory of the American Navy The Navy Department does not antcipate any present danger which would require the throwing of the entire fleet into the Pacific, bur it is anxious to determine whether the West Coast facilities are adequate to accommodate all the American ships, should an emergency require it. FLEET WILL VISIT AUCKLAND. (Per A aa oclatlon.l AUCKLAND, Last Night, The American fleet is to visit Auckland again.. The announcement to this effect is contained, in a letter received by the American Consul General at Auckland, Mr A. ;A. Winslow. The letter, which is dated from tne flagship of the Pacific Squadron, the New Mexico, says that the Navy Department contemplates sending .eight battleships, twenty destroyers, nine supply ships and tenders on a cruise to Australia and the South Sea Islands during the month of July, August, and September of this year, making a stop at Auckland.
