Walsh Bros., of Kohirnarama (Auckland) Plying School, have submitted to the Postmaster-General proposals embodying a series of test flights by seaplane between Auckland and such provincial towns as Dargaville, Whangarei and Thames. They propose to leave Auckland on schedul ed time after the cl osing - of tine mail, and carrying some 801b weight of mails, proceed to the destination decided upon. For the journey to Whangarei the promoters estimate to cover the distance in hours, and the Thames in 45 minutes. The proposal has been considered by the Minister, and as the outcome, the flights will bo made during January, Which is the most settled month as far as weather is concerned in the northern centre. A seaplane is the aerial medium selected for these flights, as the journeys to be made will be largely over the water.
