WAR WEARY.
SOLDIERS REFUSE TO EMBARK. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 22. Three hundred men of the Warwick, Berkshire and Gloucestershire regiments refused to parade at Southampton for embarkation to Prance, believing they would be sent to distant theatres, especially Russia, though the impression was without foundation. The men refused to return to camp, pending an of their grievances. (Received Sunday, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 23. The Berkshire and other troops for refusing to embark at Southampton, were^interned (?) for Turkey. They spent the night in the park and then were conveyed to camp under' armed escort.
