CONTINENTAL DEMAND WILL INCREASE PRICE.
(Times Service.) (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.)
LONDON, April 25
The Government meat committee will consult Mr W. M. Hughes and Mr Massey regarding the best means of increasing Australasian imports.'' Mr Robinson, the Queensland AgentGeneral, points out that the wartime losses in refrigerated tonnage have been practically replaced. • He expects the continental demand will largely incroast! in the immediate future to prices substantially above pre-war rates. On the other hand, some of the leading meat firms arc inclined to pessimism and believe that the prices will debar the French and other impoverished continental nations from largely increasing their consumption.
