The Norddeutscher-Lloyd and Duts-che-Australische Shipping Companies have intimated that they contemplate maintaining their own cargo service from Bremen aii'lt Hamburg to New Zealand'.. A leading British shipowner is visiting Germany with the idea of arranging a basis of settlement, and prospects of an amicable arrangement are bright. If his visit is a failure a rate war will follow.
