ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The annual general meeting of 1 eildinp' aiu ] p Association was 'Tell attended last evening, the President (Mr J. H. Perrett) presiding.
The report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr J. H. Perrett (re-elect-ed unopposed; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Corpe, E. Goodbehere, D. H. Guthrie, M.P., and A. M. Ongley; lion, treasurer, Mr F. F. Haggitt; hon. auditors, Messrs A. H. McGuire and E. •T. Wackrill, re-elected; general committee, Messrs H. ,T. Booth, A. Campbell, F. Boddv, C. G. C. Dermer, A. 11. Atkinson, N. Gorton, D. 1,. Younger, E. A. Twigg, A. E. Eglinton, and J. Morrison.
The President moved, and Mr F. Y. Lethbridge seconded, "That in view of the importance of agricultural teaching in the secondary schools, and also the fact of the increasing demand for agricultural education, which requires greater facilities for the teaching of the subject, the time is now ripe for the establishment in suitable centres of residential Agricultural High Schools, where the teaching if practical and theoretical agriculture can be carried out best." —This was carried unanimously. The trophies won at the recent show and at Almadale camp were presented to the successful competitors.
A \~ety hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr O. A. Banner, Agricultural Instructor, for the interest he has taken in the Almadale camp and for the particularly good work he had done in connection with agricultural instruction in Feilding and district.
