LORD STRATHCONA 93.
SIX HOURS' SLEEP AND NO SMOKING. London, August (5. Ninety three years old yesterday, Lord Strathoona, High Commissioner for Canada, was up before 7 o'clock in the morning and at work before breakfast. Later he was busy at the Canadian offices in Victoria street dealing with oorrespndence and interviewing callers. To a Daily Mail representative who offered congratulations he said, "I don't think one wants to be congrstnlated when one reaches such an age.'' Lord Strathoona for many years has only had two meals a day —breakfast and dinner. He eat practically no meat and has not smoked for seveny<years He never sleeps more than six hoTS, and frequently begins work at 6 a.m. At a Dominion Day reception on July 3 Lord Strathoona stood am shook bands with a thousand guests and showe i no signs of fatigue.
