t> A team of Wellington Reps, visited Palmerston yesterday en route to Wanganni, and suffered defeat at the hands of the local reps. There was a good attendance at the Show* groun ig to witness the game, which was Highly interesting. Play was fast throughout with Manawatu warmly on the attack. The first spell was evenly contested and the only soore was a goal by the visitors. Manawatu made a hot attempt but the snot was valiantly saved by the Wellington goalkeeper. The second spell greatly favoured Manawatu ana three goals went to the credit of the local team. For the winner, goals were scored by dump, Hammer, and Anderson, while Oavell so re t for Wellington. The visitors were entertained by the Association and left by the evening train for Wanganni.
