MAX HIRSH. (Press Association—By Telegraph.— Copyright). Received March 5, O.oG a.m. Melbourne, Last Night, A private cable announces tho death at Vladivostock ot Max Hirsh, well known in "Viotoriau publio life, Ho was correspondent for the British Board of Trado in Victoria and was on a tour of the world at the timo of his death.
The deceased journalist was a well-known Single-taxer, being president of the Federal Single-tax League of Australia, He was born at Cologne, Germany; in .1852, and arrived in Australia in 1879. He represented Mauduraug in the Victorian Assembly from 1903 to 1903.
