FREEMASONRY.
There was a large attendance of/ Freemasons from all parts of the district at the installation meeting of Feilding Lodge on Monday, when Dr. Sorley was placed in the chair by the outgoing W.M. Bro. H. Jb. Worsfold, who conducted the ceremony admirably. The following is a list of the officers for ensuing year: I-W.M. Bro. J. Sorley, I.P.M. Bro. fa. F. Worsfold, S.W. Bro. W.H. McLean, J.W. Bro. W. Creighton, Secretary Bro. T. W. K. Foster, £SS Bro. S. W. Fitsherbert, Chaplain Bro. E. Bosher, of O Bro. W. G. Haybittle, P.M., S.D. Bro. W. F. Willis, J,D. Bro. W F. Wedde, I. G. Bro. M. Law, Tyler Bro. A. H. Maguire, Organist Bro. O. N. GillespieGrand Lodge was represented by Bro. B. Fletoher, Grand Superintendent, Wellington District; Bro. W. H Smith, J.G.W. and Bro. Martin, GDC; Bro. Morley, District Grand Warden, E.G., was also present.. Advantage was taken of the occasion by the Gr»nd Superintendent to invest the newly-appointed J.tf.vy., Bro W H. Smith. The working took were M.M. by Bro. G. H. Saywell, F.C. bv Bro. S. Strachan, and E,A. by Bro. H. J. Booth. The warrant was presented by Bro. O. A J. The officers were invested by Bro. W. A Sandilands, the address to W.M. beicg given by Bro B. Fletcher, that to the Wardens by Bro. W. J. Phillips, and that to the Brethren by Bro E. Bosher Bro. Martin, Grand Director of Ceremonies, acted in that capacity, at the request of Bro. W. G. Haybittle, to whom the work had been assigned. After the ceremony the visitors were entertained at a sumptuous banquet, the proceedings terminating a little after midnight.
