TRADE WITH JAPAN.
Commissioner to visit New Zealand.
Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received January 22,10.12 p.m. Sydney, Thursday. A Japanese Commissioner has arrived to enquire into the questions of land legislation and the construction' of public works. After visiting the various States he proceeds to New Zealand. He says there is plenty of room for tbe expansion of trade between Japan and Australia. Although there is a good deal of resentment at Australia excluding people from tbe East, it has not affected the desire for trade. He says the Anglo-Japanese Alliance has done a great deal to steady the position in the EiKt.
