POHANGINA INSTITUTE
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs Sinclair presided at the November meeting of the Bohangina Women’s Instituts. A welcome was extended to Misses Jean and Joan Lumley, who were visitors, and to Miss M. Maddison, a former member who 'liae been discharged from the AV.A.A.F. Thanks were extended to Mrs Claphain for packing and posting two parcels for the link institute in England. Members contributed to the international fund. It was agreed that the proceeds of the bring and buy stall should also go to the same fund. A new member, Miss E. Klink, was welcomed. Two duets were rendered by the Misses Lumley, and an instructive demonstration on the making of mats out of binder twine -was given by a member, Mrs Stuart. A competition was won by Mrs Drummond. The beautiful display of flow.ers for the competitions was outstanding. Results were: Cluster, Mrs Stuart 1, Mrs Drummond 2, J Miss A. Stuart 3; single blooms, Mrs Drummond 1, Miss Maddison 2, Miss Symes 3vase of flowers, Miss Klink 1, Mrs Culling 2, Mrs Drummond 3.
