BIG CROWD ANTICIPATED

(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, Aug 23. Visitors from all over New Zealand will be converging on Auckland on Saturday to see the North Island versus South Island Rugby game which will be played at Eden Park. It will be the first occasion on which Auckland has been selected as the venue for tin's great match since 1922. Hotels and boardinghouses have been heavily hooked and it is _ expected that the city’s already strained accommodation will he taxed to the utmost. Cafes and restaurants have prepared for heavy trade, many having laid in extra supplies. The gates at the park will open at 10.30 and a series of curtain-raisers will begin'one hour later. The officials of the Auckland Rugby Union anticipate one of the largest crowds ever to gather at Eden Park. The attendance at the last big match which was the final Springbok ganmm 193/ was officially computed at 40,000, although other estimates placed it at a lower figure.
