GEN. MONTGOMERY HURT

PLANE CRASHES INTO TREE. LONDON, Aug. 23. General Montgomery was slightly injured when his plane crashed into a tree at an airport near Oldenburg. He delayed his visit to the Canadians lon o- enough to receive cursory first aid after which ho carried oil his programme including a 30-minute speech, an inspection of the guard of honour and the presentation of medals. General Montgomery later returned to hospital for a more detailed treatment net ore attending a luncheon.
