“NOT VERY REASSURING.” (Press Assn.) HAWERA Aug. 23 Tlie acting-secretary of the North Island Motor Union (Mr W. A. O Callaghan) said today that the statement by the Minister of Supply (Mr Sullivan) in regard to petrol and tyres was not very reassuring to motorists. The union had asked the Government foi all private owners to have their tyres retreaded with B grade rubber irrespective of being the holder of a small petrol license, and since the teinunation of the war had requested that all restrictions on petrol be removed as from October 1.
