London.- —The Netherlands Indies army, in a statement, denies that the three East Indies airmen, who were arrested as they were taking off from Canberra, were executed as spies. The three men were convicted. not for disloyalty, but for conspiracy and desertion,_ and were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 20 years to life, adds the statement.
