ENGLAND'S UPPER HAND

(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON Aug. 21. In three hours' play on the second day of the final Victory Test, England definitely gained the upper hand. Australia, with three wickets down in the second innings, still need 33 runs to wipe off the first innings deficit. The Australian batting stars, Miller and Hassett, are yet to come, but even they are likely to find runs hard to get on the difficult wicket.
