A.N.A. CLUB
The week-end functions at the A.N.A. Club continue to draw large numbers of patrons from the Services. At the dance on Saturday evening a waltzing competition was judged by Miss Gwen Gibbs and the Winners were Miss M. Green -and l’rivato H. McGregor. The hostesses for the week-end, Mesdames G. McQaskill, M. Lane, A. C. Armstrong and K. Innes, wore assisted by Mesdames H. Whitehead, A. Guy, K. Hewitt, V. Monrad and T. Hill-Motion, Misses It. Gillies, W. Whyte and 11. Collinson; and'the duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Hill-Motion. On Sunday Misses IS. Hayes and V. Royal were In charge of the games and Mr Drake looked after the bowls. Tho hostesses wore assisted by Mesdames It. Allison, K. Biss, P. Barraud, I). McGregor, C. G. Moore, Misses L. McDonald and D. Knowles. There were 529 teas and 28 suppers served to men of the Forces during tho week-end. The organisation in charge was tho Congregational Guild. Tho entertainments were in the hands of the Girls’ Music Club, led by Miss E. Rawlins, and items were contributed by Miss E. Scott and members of the Forces. The decorations were carried out by Mesdames 11. -Scott and D. 11. Cook, piano music was supplied by Mrs 11. Prince, and Mr J. Sclwyn led the community singing. Tho hostesses were Mesdames A. C\ Scoon, L. Wood, Misses M. Webster and C. Warburton, assisted, by Mesdames W. Ryan, G. L. Stout, A. L. Oliver, S. E. Killick, Inglewood, Bycroft, Nicoll, Tiddy, Mieses K. Ireland, G. Underwood, L. Fugglc, R. and G. Edwards.
