India, the land which on account of its political upheaval and proximity to the present Europenn war is much in the news just now, is only seen and understood by those who spend time in its outlying villages. Any who arc desirous of furthering their knowledge of this part of tho Brtsih Empire and its people should avail themselves of the opportunity of hearing Mr Ileslop at the Baptist Hall on Tuesday evening at 7.30. He has spent several years in the villagos of South India as an itinerant missionary.
