COOK-PASCOE

St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Palmerston North, was the scone of a pretty wedding on Saturday, May 31, when Dorothy Mavis, enlist daughter of Air 1,. U. Pa--coo, ot Bunnytho uc was jou.cd in the bonds of loov ii Mrimony to Wiilivn Charles, only son of Mr and the late Airs W. Al. Cook, of Tauranga. Rev. Clarence Eaton officiated and Air lrcgurUiu presided at tho organ. The bride looked very charming as she entered the church on tho arm ot her father, wearing a lovely gown of deep magnolia satin. The pretty neck was beautifully embroidered and the full sleeves were finished at the top with rows ot pintucks to match the back of the bodice. The fitting corsage was decorated with two rows of pretty buttons, while a hustle how fell softly above the .full skirt, which was fashioned to form a long train, lhc tulle veil which formed a second train was hold in place with a halo of orange blossom, and a beautiful shower bouquet of cieam chrysanthemums, roses, gypsopliila and maidenhair fern completed a charming toilette. Attending tho bride was her sister, Afiss l.orni Pascoc. who woie a frock ol Alarina him- georgette with full skirt and chaped bodice. She caincd a lovely shower bouquet of chrysanthemums, daphne and heather, and wore a matching spray in Her hair. Air Herbert Carter, of Auckland, attended the bridegroom as best man. On leaving the church the brido was pre.-cn.ed with a satin horseshoe by her sister, Airs J. \V. McGuire.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at tho P.D.C. tearooms, where the guests were received by Mrs Pascoe, who wore a floral frock under a. blue coat, with navy blue hat and accessories. Her dainty shoulder spray was of daphne, violets and maidenhair fern. Many friends congregated at the residence in Bunnythorpc to give the happy couple a rousing farewell as they loft by car for the north, the bride travelling in a navy tailored costume, with and accessories to tone. Air and Airs Cook will make their future home in Tauranga.
