11l the modern comedy “Children to Bless You,” which the Repertory Society is to present lor a season opening to-night. Miss Mavis Mortland, as wardrobe mistress, has exercised her usual good judgment to enhance the presentation. Mrs A. Cole as the mother, Clare Lawrence, is first seen in a smart black marocain frock scrolled in white with a black mole coat and black hat. Next she appears in a grey tind white pin-striped tailored frock, then follows a teal cloth frock, next a floral crepe-de-chine patterned in red and gold on a blue ground. Finally she is dressed lor travelling in a navy suit and hat. Mrs N. A. Nash, who takes the part of Stella, sister of Clare, makes her entrance in a green tailored suit-, with a green lia.t», and later adds white fox furs. A prunella woollen georgette house frock, its only trimming a tucked panel, is her next choice, and later for travelling she dons a plain black frock', a cJnc black hat, and smart black and white tailored coat. Mrs Kilpatrick, as the elder daughter, Audrey, appears first in grey slacks with duck-egg blue twin set. A becoming evening frock of white sharkskin with a white fur evening coat is her next change, and among several other changes is a green checked suit with black accessories and a house frock of chartreuse woollen georgette. Miss Joyce Carruthers as Tony, the second daughter, is first seen in a beige skirt and nigger brown stroller coat with nigger tam o shanter. Jlet most striking creation is a fancy dress representing “Light” with a long gold sequinned bodice worn over a lull white skirt and effective sun-ray headdress electrically illuminated. Miss K. Richards (Jennifer) has a most attractive navy figured taffeta evening dross with which she wears a white evening coat. Mrs F. Bendall, as Miss Drake, the manicurist, wears a smart grey tailored suit and black bat; Mrs Rose Reeves as the French maid appears in a black ensemble and turban and Miss It. Hepburn as Pearson, the maid, wears the conventional black also.
