MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. Ideal weather conditions prevailed on Saturday when the Manawatu Hockey Association's championship competition was continued. At. Masscy College, High School had an easy win over University, who were without the services of two of the last season's best players, G. Pctch and H. La-wry. Results were: — Senior.—High School 7 (Kyle 4, Wollernvan 1, Mummery 1. Waters 1) v. University 2 (Wishart 1. Rutherford 1): United beat "Phoenix by default: Woodville 5 (Stitt 3. Hardy 2) v. Feilding 0. Junior.—High School A 5 (Wat-son 2, Pcrsson 2, Nicholls 1) v. Broadway (who again played without a full team), 0; Phoenix 1 (Woodrooffe)) v. High School B 0. The umpires were Messrs B. Palenski. J. D. McDonald. H. Byers and W. Sutton. Women's Competitions.—The only game in the women's series, played at the Hokowhitit Domain, resulted in an easy win for High School Old Girls over United by 11 goals to 2. Scores for the winners were Misses Spiers- (6), Hcrrick (2), Flemming (2), and Banks (1). while Miss Sharp scored the two goals for United. The umpires were Messrs L. Boyes and V. Turner.
