An excellent response lias been received to the. appeal for assistance in the finish-ing-off of footless socks for soldiers in tropical climates. There are 9000 pairs to be dealt with by the knitting and hussifs branch and as further help is necessary another demonstration of what is required will be given on Thursday next.
