Miss 15. Morris, of Marton, is visiting To Kuiti. Mr 11. Petherick. who is attached to the railway company of the Fngineers, was met by a large number of friejida on Friday evening and presented with a travelling set. The rainfall for May in Marlon totalled 4.52 in.. rain falling on 11 days. For tho first five months of tho year 18.40 in of rain has fallen compared with the average of 14.68.
A bogey points competition played by members of the Marton Coif Club on Saturday was won by F. A. FullertonSmith with 39 points. With a card of all square, W. Murrow won the bogey competition played at the Ilawkestone links. The Marton Harrier Club's first race for the Todd Cup over a course of five miles, run on Saturday was won by B. Harper with J. Horgan runner-up. Fastest time was registered by F. Hil". The Rangitikei Ladies' Hockey Association games played on Saturday resulted : Kia Ora 6 v. Rata 2; United-Tutaenui 4 v. Bulls 4.
Games played in the Rangitikei Rugby Sub-Union resulted:—Senior: Huntervillc 11 v Ohingaiti 6; Old Boys 0 v. Bulls C. Thirds: Bulls 14 v. Old Boys 0; lluntervillo 11 v. Flock House 6. Priato Bryan Hamilton Baskin, who is reported missing, is a son of Constable G. Baskin. who was in chargo of the Marton police station about five years ago before being transferred to Waverlcy.
