BASKETBALL TOURNEY.
There were 27 teams entered in tho Manawatu Basketball Association's King's Birthday tournament, played on the Grey Street grounds to-day, this being only one less than at the last tournament in 1939. Play was on the sectional system, the winners ot sections meeting in tho semi-finals and finals. Miss C. Vautier was the tournament -manager ana tlic re/crces were Misses J. Barrie, S. Coombs, N. Bowler, McClymont, Meager and Messrs Sinclair and Sargisson.
