MOTORIST PUNISHED.
Appearing in the Magistrate's Court-to-day, before Mr H. P. La wry. S.M., Francis Alexander Cawley, aircraftsman and carpenter, aged 21, of the No. 3 Flying Training School, Ohakea. was charged that, while in a state of intoxication in Palmcrston North on May 31, he was in charge of a motorcar. He. entered a plea of guilty and was fined £lO and prohibited from obtaining a motor-driver's license for a year. Ho is also to pay £1 Is medical expenses. Senior-Sergeant J. Mclntyre explained that accused's car was involved in a collision with a woman cyclist in Thompson Street on Saturday evening.
